Make Two Bots Work Together

You will set up a Researcher and a Writer in one group chat and get a sourced draft.

Try this first task

Copy it, paste it into your Bot, and see one real result before you read on.

First task
In this group chat: Research Bot finds 3 public facts about [topic], with links and dates.
Writer Bot turns them into a 100-word summary.
Nobody sends or publishes anything. Post both outputs here.

Steps

  1. 1

    Create two focused Bots

Researcher: finds sources and links every claim.

Writer: turns findings into clean drafts and never publishes anything.

  2. 2

    Start a group chat

Click New, then select the Bots you want. A group chat can have 2 to 6 Bots.

  3. 3

Kick off with @mentions and one outcome

Give each Bot its part in one message, and state the single result you want at the end.

Copy-paste examples

Copy-paste kickoff
@Researcher gather sources and link every claim.
@Writer turn findings into a 1-page draft.
Do not publish.

Outcome: a 1-page draft I can review today.
Constraints: every claim needs a link. No claim without a source.
Do not post, publish, or email anything.
Deliverable: the draft, then a short source list at the bottom.

Good to know

  • The Bots share one cloud computer, so the Writer can see the files and pages the Researcher opened.
  • You are not the middleman. Let them pass work between each other and step in only to decide.
  • Group chats count toward the same 50 Bots and group chats limit.

If something goes wrong

Both Bots do the same work

  • Your kickoff gave two overlapping jobs. Name one owner per part of the work.

The chat gets noisy

  • Use fewer Bots. Two focused Bots usually beat five general ones.

After a good run, save it as a skill

When one run works, turn it into a skill so you never write the task again.
